Our vision for the Trimley Estate

The Trimley Estate undertook a major community planning exercise in 2001 and published a long-term vision for the Felixstowe Peninsula. Updated in 2007, this provides a framework for ongoing estate management and further contributions towards employment and housing in the area.

At the heart of what we do is the stewardship of the agricultural estate, sensitive to improving the local landscape and ecology, and responding positively to the broader social and economic needs of the area.

We are looking to improve further public access to the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Trimley Marshes working with our partners in the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. We will continue to invest in protecting local heritage assets, landscape improvements and amenity woodlands.

The Trimley Estate is sponsoring a development on a variety of sites, to ensure the availability of additional homes for a growing local community.  To help secure the future of Felixstowe Port, we are also promoting strategic port-related employment opportunities and logistical capacity at Innocence Farm and Christmasyards Wood.
